MUKTI is a non-profit
socio-economic organization that has been working in South 24 Pgs, East
Medinipur, West Medinipur, Howrah, Murshidabad, Jhargram and in other parts of
West Bengal. The organization is registered as a Trust with a vision to Engage largest
number of volunteers to create grassroot level socio economic development organization
that contributes towards sustainable development of people in need. MUKTI's
mission is to work as a HEALER- AID for our society in the area of Health (Health,
Water & Sanitation), Education (Education & Empowerment), Agriculture (Agricultural
Reforms), Livelihood (Livelihood & Sustainability), Environment & Resiliency,
Rights & Special Needs, Integrated Development and Disaster Relief, irrespective
of caste, creed, age and gender.
The organization has positively
impacted over 10 lakh beneficiaries, covering about 1.5 lakh households,
including 30,000 SHG women and 7000+ children, irrespective of caste, creed,
age, and gender with an objective to uplift the grassroots who are in penury,
social exclusion and myriad discrimination and are extremely vulnerable to climate
hazards like strong storms, cyclic cyclone and frequent dreadful disasters adding
to resource dearth, penury, vulnerability, and violence.
The organization has a UN Special
Consultative Status and is supported by more than 120+ enterprises from all
over the world. Mukti became the 1st organization in West Bengal and 3rd in
India to get listed under NSE- Social Stock Exchange.
